New building project - Habitations de la Promenade

Montreal welcomes a Mission Unitaînés building in Mercier-Est

This project is the result of an agreement between Mission Unitaînés, the governments of Canada and Québec and Ville de Montréal.

The six-story building will offer 100 affordable housing units for people aged 65 and over:

  • 15 studios
  • 74 1-bedroom units
  • 11 2-bedroom units

The building will be equipped with two elevators and a parking area for mobility scooters. To promote community life, residents will have access to a common room with a kitchen on the ground floor and landscaped green spaces.

Located opposite lush green spaces and the river

The building will be located at 9201, rue Notre-Dame Est, at the corner of Meese Avenue in the Mercier--Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough.

Right opposite the building are the green spaces of Promenade-Bellerive Park, a huge linear park located along the Saint-Lawrence River with year-round cultural activities.

The neighbourhood offers access to a variety of food, recreational, medical and banking services, as well as public transportation.

Modern, safe and affordable housing

It is expected that leases could be signed as early as May 1, 2026.

Rent will be affordable and will include electricity and heating. Appliances will be offered to the first tenants.
