Members of the OMHM Board of Directors
The OMHM's Board of Directors (CA) exercises the powers conferred on it by the Act and its letters patent. The Board adopts bylaws and policies and deals with current business by resolution. Nine members sit on the board. Five are appointed by the Montreal urban agglomeration council, two by the Québec government and two are elected by tenants.

The Executive Committee
In order to facilitate the day-to-day management of OMHM activities, the Board of Directors delegates certain powers to the Director General.
The general manager relies on the advice and support of her executive committee in managing operations.

Advisory committees of tenants in low-rent housing and ENHARMONIE (CCR)
These two committees assess tenants’ needs and priorities and make recommendations to the board with regard to budget priorities, services offered, improvements to the living environment, etc.
The advisory committee of tenants in low-rent housing is made up of tenants’ representatives who take part in sectoral committees.
Each residence in the ENHARMONIE network appoints two representatives to sit on the ENHARMONIE advisory committee. Two board members also sit on this committee.

Tenant selection committee
The tenant selection committee assesses the eligibility of applications for low-rent housing and rent supplement programs, as well as applications for housing transfers in compliance with the By-law respecting the allocation of dwellings in low rental housing in accordance with the Act respecting the Société d’habitation du Québec. It comprises two representatives elected by tenants, two representatives of the socioeconomic groups and one OMHM representative.

Auditing committee
The auditing committee ensures correct management of the OMHM’s financial affairs and risk management. It is made up of the Secretary-Treasurer of the board and two individuals from outside the organization. The Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director, Administration and Corporate Affairs are invited to attend the meetings.
Retirement committees
Three retirement committees administer the pension plan assets of the different employee groups:
- the non-unionized employee retirement plan committee;
- the white collar employee retirement plan committee;
- the blue collar employee retirement plan committee.
Housing project development committee
This committee makes recommendations to the board on OMHM guidelines for developing housing, analyzes proposals for housing projects and monitors selected projects. It is made up of three board members (one member chairs the committee), the Executive Director, the Director of Asset Management and Development, and the Director of Housing Stock Development.

Tenants’ consultative and participative forums
In addition to the tenants’ advisory committees (CCR), the OMHM accompanies other tenants’ consultative and participative forums. These are:
- tenants’ associations (the OMHM has more than 100 of these representing more than 10,000 tenants in low-rent housing);
- three sectoral committees (which discuss the various challenges in different geographical sectors);
- the maintenance and janitorial services auditing committee;
- the committee on change of housing for bio-psycho-social reasons;
- the MOUV (for young people aged between 12 and 25).
