Fields of Employment

The OMHM offers employment in many areas. Some 80 managers and 60 staff members serve in about 100 different positions falling into seven major groups:

Administration 

In addition to mangers working in administration, many other employees support our operations in a variety of positions (administrative aides, office staff, secretaries, etc.).

Building Maintenances

Some 200 managers and employees maintain and repair our buildings (director, maintenance and repair, maintenance and repair workers, plumbers, electricians, etc.).

Community Development

This unit forges ties with community partners (social workers, community organizers, project authorities, etc.) and tenants .

Customer Service

Managers and their staffs are in touch with tenants and applicants each day. They collect rents, process rental applications, administer leases and enforce compliance with building regulations (rental officers, rental staff, collection agents, human resources advisers, etc.).

Central Units

Co-workers of these managers and their employees are often tenants. They work in data processing, procurement, accounting, human resources and communications (buyers, accountants, programmer analysts, etc.). 

Major Work

Many managers and employees (architects, engineers, building mechanics technicians, construction supervisors, etc.) put their know-how to work maintaining and upgrading our facilities.

Security

More than 100 people work as security officers or resident-supervisers in our buildings. They lives in public housing or in Résidences EnHarmonie and work there part time.
